Part of the Dye Mad Yarns "Cryptid" collection, Haserot Angel
This is the only yarn in the collection that isn't actually a cryptid, and you can find her in Lakeview Cemetary in Cleveland.
She is actually known as "The Angel of Death Victorious” and she guards the grave of canning mogul Francis Haserot. The life-size bronze holds an extinguished torch upside-down, a symbol of life extinguished. Her wings are outstretched and she gazes straight ahead.
The statue’s most striking feature, however, is how death’s guardian appears to be weeping black tears, which pour from her eyes and drip down her neck. These “tears” formed over time, an effect of the aging bronze.
Haserot Angel is a patina blue-green with terra cotta and black speckles. Available on the following bases:
Chester Sock: 100g, 437 yards, blend of 75% superwash merino/25% nylon
